Riz Ahmed may have had to cancel his tour for his latest album release, but that isn't stopping him from providing us with entertaining content while we self-isolate.

#TheLongLockdown festival is an interactive online experience that is promoting meaningful dialogue around issues that face many South Asians. The festival kicked-off last week with a screening of Four Lions as well as a discussion with Riz, Hasan Minhaj and Guz Khan. This week Riz spoke with Rupi Kaur, Nikesh Shukla and Fatima Bhutto. The festival is building on themes of identity that were explored through Riz’s Short Film and Album that was released last month. It has been inspiring to hear about the journeys of South Asian creatives and how they have overcome obstacles to get to where they are.

At a time of a lot of uncertainty, #TheLongLockdown encourages us to have a resilient mind-frame and inspires us to keep creating. Stay tuned for upcoming content through Riz Ahmed’s social media channels and find some of his previous content on his youtube channel.
